My custom pitchshifter was not working out as I expected it to - I'm still not satisfied with the cleanness of the sound. So for the moment we're stuck with the FFT-based pitch shifter. It sounds good, but there are two main drawbacks:
1) It uses a non-trivial amount of CPU. It's almost 10% on my Athlon 2200. This means you need to apply it offline if you want to use InTune on massive comps and backing tracks. Not too bad, as there aren't many parameters on this plugin.
2) There is still some latency. 4096 samples actually. This figure is now reported to the host, so it should synchronise properly. You'll just get a short slapback if you try to use it live.
Then again, if you're trying to use this live, then you deserve all the slapback you get.
Forever,
Kim.
