Tracktion has full PDC, except in certain complex routing scenarios that Cubase can't do anyway.SJ_Digriz wrote:ok, lets go back ON topic then. If I have to choose between total PDC and Unlimited routing. I choose PDC.
How best to denigrate non-modular hosts?

What about console, that can expand ones routing possibilities.

see you say can't and I say there are ways to do most any scenario (even the one borogove posted). And no it(it being Tracktion) doesn't have full PDC. I have PDC to my external hardware effects. Also, in those very complex situation where I "cheat" to make it work I have PDC.platinumears wrote:Tracktion has full PDC, except in certain complex routing scenarios that Cubase can't do anyway.SJ_Digriz wrote:ok, lets go back ON topic then. what part of no it doesn't don't you understand? route an output of one of you audio tracks to one of your external effects and it will NOT be compensated for on the return.haydxn wrote:what part of Tracktion has full PDC don't you understand?

er.. that is not pdc you dickcheese. that granted is a convenient integration of external hardware but it is not a plugin. er, ass

dude, my host compensates for that scenario. What backwards, low tech, no feature, unflexible, POS host do you use?haydxn wrote:er.. that is not pdc you dickcheese. that granted is a convenient integration of external hardware but it is not a plugin. er, ass
Oh yeah, you use Tracktion

He was pointing out that the P in PDC stands for plugin. A piece of hardware isn't a plugin. In this instance he's right and your wrong. Sorry. Still good that cubase handles your situation well though.SJ_Digriz wrote:dude, my host compensates for that scenario. Dudes and duddestes even if the P stands for plugin the Cubase version treats external gear exactly like a plugin. You select it from the plugin list and put it in as an insert. You can't tell the difference.

that's right! i can't tell the difference between the gash that sprays out of your keyboard and the waft of crunk that just floated up from my ass!
regardless, tracktion - along with many other hosts - has full pdc. cubase is super excellent and has additional features to make external gear integrate with your stuff, but that doesn't mean that tracktion does not have full pdc. now get back on your cubase throne.

lol, if you even knew how many things I HATE about Cubase. But you can't put a bow on a turd and tell me it's all pretty now either. Tracktion still has a long ways to go before it is in the same league. And all the Modular/non-Modular rhetoric is total BS.haydxn wrote:that's right! i can't tell the difference between the gash that sprays out of your keyboard and the waft of crunk that just floated up from my ass!

If you want unlimited routing then there are options available for you. But don't join in on a thread about how all hosts that don't have unlimited routing suck and not expect someone to come trolling from the other team. Then get your panties in a knot because you don't like the other opinion.
I never called anyone names until you started with that stuff. So who is the asshole?

- I have no idea what you term "music" and "noise." It's different depending on each person. If noise means uncomfortable sound, then pop music is noise to me.
