My KVR contest entry for this month.

One of the 2 Spanish guitars is 004 Gtr Nylon, the other 'solo' guitar is a (new) mix of a couple of the samples processed with Voxengo Analogflux Chorus. And of course my other favorite 008 Gtr Spacial Strat is included as well.

Hope you like it :)

Hi Hans
hehe
This is a Cool tune.
I enjoyed listening to it the few times I have so far.
Your voice is different, and it makes me smile :-)

Nice use of the Guitars ... it does sound like someone playing them.

Thanks for this :-)
Paul

BTW ... I think everyone must be playing as it is a bit quiet here atm.

C'mon folks wake up!!!

Thanks Paul.

Well.. I certainly am... Alan's post inspired me to work on a bit of blues myself... And then there are sooooo many guitars to choose from :D

btw I've been experimenting a bit with layering and with the sliding notes in the velocity layer. I noticed it works like that in Plugsound too, but it just doesn't fit my style of playing, neither on keybard nor on guitar. But I do understand now what you were talking about earlier.

Here's an updated / revised version: It's All Clear Now - Revised version

The chorussed guitar is still there with the same hook, part of the bass too, the rest is *completely* different. I still need to add vocals, but I found a friend with a Sax willing to add the melody as a temporary solution until I finished singing lessons.

(I haven't yet spent much time on mixing/ compressing/ EQ'ing)

This is really coming along now. You've obviously been working hard. I look forward to the addition of the vocals. Somehow they made the song stand out. I'm not brave enough to do vocals myself. It sounds great in my head, but not when I sing out loud!

I'll have to look at this KVR contest thing. How do you enter, and do you get helpful feedback?

Hi Alan,

My vocals surely gave a certain accent to the song, I'm not sure if it was all positive ;). But I agree that songs like this (blues too btw) need vocals.

The KVR contest is easy, you can check the threads in the music cafe. When the current (March-) contest is finished, there will be a new assignment + deadline for April, and you can just create your song, host it somewhere, and post in the 'submissions' thread where your entry is...
