The list of fixes is pretty long, I've yet to try it out.
Good luck! Riley

Thanks for the heads up. I notice several of the listed bugfixes are to do with the VST implementation, which could bring some welcome improvements. The option to hide the operator demo will please those who moaned and took great offence about this on the forum!

Yeah, It doesn't bother me. I'll probably buy Operator soon. I really like it, I'm busy now with ManyStation and WusikStation.

Doesn't bother me either (although the CPU usage of Live 4 is still a problem here). Operator seems fine but I'll be buying Reason 3.0 this month, and I think that'll keep me busy for some timeriley4reason wrote:Yeah, It doesn't bother me. I'll probably buy Operator soon. Yes!! to Reason 3.0!! I was just on their site reading the plan files. Reason is definitley bought before Operator. Live does eat up the CPU.

I've downloaded and installed 4.1.1. FIrst impressions are that this is more CPU efficient, although that's not specifically listed in the bugfixes... also, yes, sets seem to load faster, also not listed so far as I can see.
This is very good news...

WOW - its true!! I redid the Ambience test that I previously did in Live 4 (with appalling results before)... and this time Live 4 beat the rival I was comparing with.
CPU was so bad in previous Live 4 versions that I had pretty much abandoned the program altogether and moved fully back over to Tracktion. Some people will no doubt remember how angry I was!!
Well, now I'm ecstatic - Live 4.1.1 is at last a more CPU efficient program.
All we need now is a freeze function and PDC, and Live will be truly top of the class

And overlaping clips, crossfades.
Good news about the CPU.

Hmm, interesting feedback... thanks
I repeated my Ambience test four times over 24 hours - this time yesterday, late in the evening, early this morning, and just now (lunch time here in the UK).
Three times out of the four I noted the significantly improved CPU, which is now comparable with CPU is other hosts I have used.
However, the test I did late last night produced anomolous results which were closer to the bad CPU before this update. When I did that test I had been giving my laptop quite a thrashing and the fan was going full blast indicating the CPU was running hot. I'm not sure if this could partly explain the strange result.
But overall I feel that - on my system at least - the results seem pretty conclusive. Clearly there are *other* factors involved, but 4.1.1 seems to be showing a noticeable performance improvement here.
