I would like to know if anyone is using the Finalis Limiter. From the looks of it and price, it looks alot like Uaudios Percition Limiter. How do these 2 compare?
Anyone?

I have a Uaudio PL and I download demo of Finalis to compare.
I'm not expert on this kind of stuff but at same setting(as close as possible) I much prefered
Uaudio's.
that doesn't mean Finalis is bad.
if I put uaudio at 100/100. Finalis is about 95/100.

I'm just wondering what your points of reference are here guys, as well as your general source material and what you want out of a limiter? I gotta say, I really like Finalis. It seems like I can crunch a lot of volume out of it, without feeling entirely squashed and lifeless, with no unwanted pumping artifacts. That and the fact that it has a smooth and open sounding high end and doesn't seem to f with my bass and kick drums, has me liking it a lot. The closest substitute that I know of in native VST land is Voxengo's Elephant, which also sounded quite good when I was demoing it. I just spent a few quick minutes A/Bing Finalis against TLS and the Betabugs limiter (at least the one they did the GUI for) and though the comparison is somewhat unfair as both are great freebies and Finalis is a commercial product, I liked Finalis better for the above stated reasons. I generally do indie-rock/pop stuff though, and could see how the needs of a limiter for electronic music could differ than my own.
If someone's looking at Finalis though, I'd also look at Elephant, and see how the two stack up against each other and spend some time with the different modes. Aleskey even said in a different thread that he was working on a new mode for Elephant that sounded a lot like Finalis, so even he can't think it's bad.
Just my two cents, I don't want anyone not spending some time with Finalis based on anyone's response in this thread (including my own).

I'm sorry this post wasn't about techno.

What to you guys think about L3 or L2 in all of this. I have an old version of L2 and its pretty good, but I also demoed Uaudios Precision Limiter and it was beautiful. More beautiful to what I currently got. So now I need to save my pennies for this type of plug and Finalis poped up.
I still will buy PLimiter I think.
