You're welcome! Hall 5.1 booth D76

However, the graphics above doesn't reflect 100% of its beauty! - The current font looks weird and some minor glitches with the scaled images have to be sorted, but that's probably a no-brainer...

So, where's the public beta?
There are 3 kinds of people:
Those who can do maths and those who can't.

yeah I'll be helping Ben out on the Camel stand, and generally wandering around blagging NFRs and touching expensive toys :hihi:

Post

I apologize for not reading the conditions for the public beta more carefully.

Well, hehehe, it's not *public* at the moment. This is primarily, because it's currently working in an antiseptic space (my machine, my software), and it would be ridiculous to make it public in the current state. I suppose many people would just encounter crashes, and I would experience a flood of emails that I couldn't handle.

Nevertheless, it *might* become public in a few weeks, or - if everything works out okay - it might just go from beta to release, I don't know.

Stuff depends. I have virtually *no* experience with Windows development, so I'm carefully observing how stuff pans out.

On a side note, my effort for support on the Mac platform is close to zero, as there is almost nothing that causes problems. I hope to keep that comfortable situation with the Windows ports, even though I'm not to familiar with Windows development. No need for support means satisfied users, so this is how it should be!

I don't mean to be rude, but why are they so expensive? They look stunning visually, but the price puts me off.

Well... hmmm... what should I say to that?

Maybe...

...there are EQ plugins that do the same or less than FilterscapeQ6 for more than 129$

...there are Synths that do the same or less than FilterscapeVA for more than 129$

...there are Filter plugins that do the same or less that Filterscape for more than 129$

with Filterscape you get all of these at - if I trust the reviews - execellent quality for $129. This makes actually 43$ each. Possible because they share concepts that make sense in the dedicated way they are implemented.

You might consider it expensive, others might consider it a bargain. That's how it always is.

Or, a one word answer to why it costs so much: economics. ;)

I'm curious about the performance of FilterscapeVA though. I'm running a PII 400 temporarily, and while I certainly don't expect 16 voices out of it with this POS, I'd like to know approximately what I can expect. For a reference, I can barely get 2 voices out of impOSCar's default patch on this machine.

PII 400... wow... well, it does way more than 2 voices on a G4 450, if that counts...
