Last time I needed this I went to the local music store and bought a couple of cheap drumsticks and recorded it myself. I'm no drummer, but you really don't need to be to say 1-2-3-4.winegums100 wrote:Me again..Anyone got a decent drummer+sticks click saying "1-2-3-4" sample?? I think thats the lamest sample request that I've ever seen. Seriously. Use some creativity...DIY...lamer.

Um...you're right...it was just a question and I replied with an honest answer. Does that bother you? Apparently it does. I'm just saying that people who request the most simple types of samples who obviously dont or cant look within their own realm of creativiy (or in this case, lack therof)are lamers. Plain and simple.stale bread wrote:damn man just how low on the east side are you? it was just a question and thats the sad

so you're saying that this person who has no creativity is lame for not being creative?....your logic is flawed. you're trying to reason being rude to someone just because they asked a question regarding sampling techniques that you obviously don't care to answer. what's your point.

This is true.
Yeah well...I've never heard of you either and I have never once paid for any piece of software. Suckers...

Addressing the original question, most Roland synthesizers have a 1-2-3-4 sample within the drumsets.

In that case, there's always this option.JohnVulich wrote:Maybe he doesn't own a microphone.

Blimey - started off a debate here!
Yes, it was a lame request, but my reasons are:
1. My mic is crap
2. I don't own drumsticks and chopsticks don't sound the same
3. I'm a lazy git!!
Thanks to the guys who gave helpful advice - I'll pop out this weekend and get some drumsticks and a decent mic!!
As for creative, check out Hollow Sun's SY85 page...

Maybe you do not need a good mic for drummer-like 1-2-3-4 sample. Because the mics will be at the drums and not at the drummers mouth. The distance will be like one meter. And all EQ's would be set for drums, not voice. I think a "bad" microphone is actually better in this case!
And can you find the tick-tick in soundfonts?
