I can't get my controller(radium 49/Tracktion hosting) to control cc's within A synth. I'm not near my computer now but last night I had tried it out and just could not get midi-learn to work. I couldn't even find a midi learn! Did I miss something? Can someone straighten me out because I would love to get rid of that nag screen.

Perhaps you should donate... :)

Mine (non-nag, I donated) uses a text file called ASynthCC.txt to define the controls.

I couldn't say whether the free/demo uses it or not :?:

Cheers!

Hmm Does the regged version come with midi learn? I found the cc.txt and changed all parameters to the format indicated but I am having no luck. Any one else dealing with this?

Post

I'm using the unregged version and it doesn't work for me either. Maybe it needs to be registered? It's well worth it, Asynth is sweet. 8)

If you have EnergyXT you can use that to assign controllers.

Fixed. My web skills / interest suck almost as much as my graphical talent (note: ASynth gfx were not done by me).

Registered version has been available for a month already. It fixes the timing problem and improves the parameter display slightly.
CC mapping is done with ASynthCC.txt in both demo and registered version.

There is no midi-learn in ASynth. You need to edit ASynthCC.txt. What host are you using?
I don't have any midi controller so testing of CCs has been minimal (but they have been reported to work).

Tracktion hosting-m-audio radium49 controlling. I can draw the parameters into a track but realtime I'm not getting. I changed asynth.txt to the suggested format in the txt file but am not getting anything to respond. I will check to see if I made any errors in the txt file/or an error on the controller setting etc. and if it doesn't go well. I can post a sample of what I have and you can tell me what's wrong with it. :hihi: Thanka.

Did anyone actually get CC to work?

Sure, I've had it working fine in the unregged version inside EnergyXT (my host). Just edited the ASynthCC.txt file and mapped the params to my UC-16.

Yes, no problems with my Edirol PCR-30.

I have a map I use for PPG-Wave, so I just changed the relevant CC Nos in the ASynthCC.txt file to suit that.

trying to get it working with a BCR2000 and Ableton Live (demo - if it makes a difference. heres (the start of) my ASynthCC.txt
; Format:
; Param = CC#
;
;
; Wave1 = CC#11
; Mix = CC#12
; SemiDetune = CC#13
; Detune = CC#14
; LinDetune = CC#15
; Wave2 = CC#16
what is the correct format? I've tried it without the # etc.
:(

Remove the leading semicolons (they indicate that the line is a comment...)

Also, remove the 'CC#' part (not required)

Wave1 = 11
Mix = 12
SemiDetune = 13

etc. etc.

Cheers,
