Trashy punk band
!!!

Looks rather like a south-american pan-pipe band of the ilk that hangs around Reading or Peterborough or Manc Picadilly Gdns every so often!

Good call!

DSP
If we'd have sung our lyrics out in the street, we'd have been arrested!

Songs included "f**ked Up"
("Cos I'm so
fuckedupfuckedupfuckedupfuckedup
fuckedup in my... head...")
and the classic VD
("I got VD, VD,
I only wish I had Maggie Thatcher with me
I got VD...")
:-o

And the obligatory brick wall shot, representing inner city urban decay.

:o - you've been a guitar-player once? Why didn't you maintain playing that kind of instrument? :?

Post

Didn't realise you actually had to be proficient in an instrument to play in a trash band.

Anyway, I can only do the basic chords - but it's all we needed.

Post

yeah - but my question is rather: once you can play the basic chords - isn't it then natural to maybe learn one or two more and then later maybe still one or two more and them maybe another few or something? - you get what I mean? - I just can't understand how you can suddenly just put it in the attic or whereever to never touch it again... :?

Post

I didn't - it was stolen.
I just never replaced it, and couldn't be bothered.

 :?

:D great thread
when i moved to japan i was forced to leave a great many things behind, shame i could have furnished this thread well :( still i've found a few pictures:

this is around 1991 i think, the height of the acid-skiffle craze. i'm playing the tea chest bass, and clearly enjoying the adulation it afforded me. that 'instrument' was actually abandoned in amsterdam, it was pretty cumbersome - following a break in one of the coffee shops i was too f**ked to carry it and left it down an alleyway, the next day it was gone. i wasn't particularly sad. (note the rubber glove)

i'm not in this one. it's just the same street as above, to show the 'competition'.

and finally...about 10 years ago:

i'm far left, the only band i've ever made money from, we were briefly arthur brown's backing band (god of hell fire), actually not embarrassing so much as depraved looking oddballs - the apparent height difference of one member required no props whatsoever, perfect opportunity to stick some 1950's tv antennae on his head.
