Looks like a swank place! :) Also looks like its backed heavily by Sony?

We'll just see how those Japanese suits can handle some Modern Istanbul? :hihi:

Hi,

Actually we just run a contest every month for either hardware or software and any sponsor that wants to supply a prize takes that ad slot. We are grateful to Sony but not partial to them.

So much like KVR is already then? Great minds think alike I guess. ;) But here we just can't say anything bad about the big piece of... Brilliance known as Receptor by the kind geniuses at Muse Research. :hail:

I also think it's great that there is such a wide variety at Mixsposure already - including 'religious odes' (which I didn't find as prominent as John did?)
And not that I'm a freedom fighter for the ACLU and Larry Flynt, but was slightly worried when it was advised to not put up anything 'with profanity' at the site... But, you do allow for people to warn others of 'explicit content' in their material, which I think is great. Not that I'm 'MC Foul Mouth' but sometimes a word or phrase is needed for 'impact' you see. ;)

Looks like a great site! 8)

Dude!
I thought Everyone knew about KVR :!:
I´m still down with a hellasious cold but will be back soon and with a vengeance!

The main chart is made of the ratings the songs get from the reviews given by other musicians. If the song is well produced and has an excelent musical performance it gets good reviews no matter what style it is in.
I´m not christian but have given a couple good scores to some christian songs because they deserved them. It`s all about being fair. You know?

Hi,
We have no problem with profanity within your lyrics, we just ask that you warn members so the "faint at heart" can pass on it if they think they might be offended. We also don't allow profanity in song titles. Our site is dynamic, it will list the latest songs right on our front page. I had to put my foot down when I sent out a lot of sponsor proposals and I went back to the site and saw "I'M GONNA F*CK THIS HO" right on the main page. I'm sure you could see where that leads to bad business. :o :(

I really appreciate your two cents Steven, thanks.

No problems. And I think it's great that you did put your foot down as well. As much I am a fan of Severed Heads, their latest album "f**k This Bullshit" does not have me running to the stores to buy it. I can understand anger and impact within a song... But to be that 'confrontational' right on the title takes all the 'mystique' out of enjoying a body of work IMO.

What happened to the days of Big Yellow Taxi or (She Sells) Sanctuary - great songs, and the title is almost like a signature on a piece of art?

"I'm Gonna f**k This Ho" - now there's a tune for any wedding reception! On The Chappell Show, maybe? But as a 'creative foot foward'...

"That's one small step for man... One jizzgantic leap for the niggaz in da hissouse! Word to the NASA bloods! Where da white women at on this rock?"

Post

I agree. This new MTV generation is trouble. (or do I dare say whack) It's all about the bling bling.

I gotta admit though, "I'M GONNA F*CK THIS HO" actually would be perfect for a wedding reception.

Maybe I can get William Shatner to bust it out for me.
