Yes, The Robert Downey Weekend... Er, Less Than Zero - I agree! :hihi:

Post

i liked the film as well - my guy begby from trainspotting playing a wendigo - top shit - soundtrack was eccentric & excellent

Post

Alright, the piece of human tripe had it's moments. But the 'bad guy' - yeah, I remember now Trainspotting of course! Now there was an A1 movie with A1 soundtrack! But that's another topic. ;)

Who was the outpost commander in the beginning and at the end? He looked darn familiar too?

Post

Did Michael Nyman do the soundtrack to 'The Cook, The Wife and The Lover' (or something similar). The soundtrack to that was mesmerising. i've got it somewhere on cassette.

Yep, that was Nyman.

Hey, what's everybody talking about Greenaway for in this thread? Every movie he ever made was a masterpiece, Nyman or no Nyman! Argh! This is about shite movies with good soundtracks. Like The Italian Job. Or La Valee. Or A hard day's night, maybe? The doors. Stuff like that. Greenaway makes good movies with good soundtracks.

Best Greenaway is a Zed and Two Noughts, great score "angelfish decay", wonderful.

Pretty much any Argento film fits this category...

[edit - the george clooney version]
Lem kicks but - the film as well! :-D

much better than this pseudo-philosophical Matrix-shite...

Steven West wrote: And one other - and it's actually a cool B movie... Phantom Of The Paradise. Paul WIlliams was a little genius with all the songs on that soundtrack I thought. Like it much better than 'Rocky Horror Picture Show'. ;)

So what are your B- Flicks with A+ soundtracks?
I looooove that movie!!!!
Own it on DVD - yes I do (and the soundtrack on vinyl too.) :D

One my favourite lines from this classic...
"I know drug-real from real-real"
Gotta love that Beef character!

The Phantom has a cool Moog Tonto System in the flick.
Too bad it couldn't be heard, sure looked cool though.

'hazy shade of winter' - best Bangles track ever!

Ahhh, Ferris Bueller it is! And indeed - busy as a butler at Never Land I see. Now talk about 'Ravenous'! He seemed like such a level headed decent guy in that movie...? But then again I said the same thing about O.J. Simpson in The Naked Gun. :dog:

Attack Of The Killer Tomatoes and Phantom Of The Paradise really should be on the A List I think...? "Thisth placeth is possessthed!" - Ahhhh, the Beefster. What a star! :hihi:
