Been looking for a virus scanner for Linux so I can scan any files I download if I'm going to transfer them to my windows system. Came across this and thought windows users mught be interested too as it's free and "on demand" as opposed to running in the background all the time. Anyone used this?

I have been using the free version of BitDefender for about half a year now and I have only good things to say. Their support is very nice and helpful, too. Definitely worth recommending.

Hey it is good - doesn't take up background resources and just works with a right click to scan any file or folder. You can also turn off auto updates so no processes are running at all.
