Nice idea. Since you asked for suggestions:
1. It would be nice to have a keyboard on which you could see the chord notes being played by the chord.
2. It would be nice to be able to assign the chords to either the treble or bass--so one could use the program for both hitting chords on the low end while playing melodies or as a way to experiment with full rhythm parts.
3. Being able to adjust the velocity of each note in the chord might be asking for too much, but it would be nice to have for color--it would let the user control the sound of the chord the way we do when we actually play, not hittng all the notes with the same strength.

already planned. it will also allow you to enter custom chords (on the advanced version)1. It would be nice to have a keyboard on which you could see the chord notes being played by the chord.
sort of already planned. see my original post. split keyboard into 3 parts: chord selectors, single bass notes and chord transpose notes. i would suggest you record top end melodies separately by switching off the plugin temporarily. i'll think about this.2. already planned. there will be a "expression" control that will add/subtract a random amount to your original key hit for each note.3. Being able to adjust the velocity of each note

I used to have a program for the old c-64 called organ in which using keys on keyboard (qwert) i could do chords one row was root the other row was type and I could do very fast chord prgresions to see how they sound. If fact there ius this old scifi movie in which it dupicated its sound. A 25 yearold program noone has redone. Ofcourse it was not as well known as piano.
One extra feature that would make it better a midi filter that would take whatever I played on my keyboard and make sure it was it tune (ie autoharp)

if you could find this for me on the 'net that would be great.
It sounds like what mine does, but you use a MIDI keyboard rather than the PC keyboard.
but i'd still like to take a look at it for comparision
regards j

Great idea !
One suggestion: Since this plug in will be geared towards "non musicians", why not include a scale option ? Chords "works" according to scales, and such a feature would help immensly for a beginner to choose the "right" chords...
If you choose to play in A minor, the plug in could suggest the appropriate chords (Amin , Bmin7 b5 , C , Dmin, Emin, F and G and variations of those chords , (7ths, inversions, 13ths etc...) ). I.e. an option like "lock to scale" so you don't play any chords outside that scale.
Allthough I would reccmend everybody to read up on music theory, this is a feature tht would make theis plug in super desirable. I remember using hours in Musiclabs RnC auditioning chords and figuring out chordprogressions by ear....I spent more time finding the right chords\ sequense than actually making music....
it would be like wicked a combination between Chordworx pro and Nicfit's "scale enforcer" plugin.
possible ?

it represents the relationship between
"church" modes(ionian(major), dorian, locrian etc.)
and minor mode which combines the 3 minor modes(natural, harmonic and melodic) in desired key.
now i`m building graphic and sequencer engines
there`s a lot of work to do so it won`t be ready really soon
but i`ll do my best to fast up this plugin release.
