In Cubase SX, with the full version of Jamstix, you would send the MIDI output of the Jamstix to the MIDI input of the track that runs SampleTank.

Unfortunately, in the demo version this is limited to bars 1-4.

However, you can also load SampleTank inside of Jamstix using the External VSTi switch in the mapping tab of Jamstix. Just watch the 'external..' tutorial video in the manual that comes with the demo and make sure to save your setting with the SAVE button in the mapping tab so you don't have to set ST up more than once.

Let me know if we can help you more...

Sounds Good. I don't have SamplTank yet, I'm waiting for my group buy to ship from Sonik Reality.

I will be running the demo with the built in sounds. Hopefully by the time I get my Sonik Capsules and ST-LE I will be ready to buy, and you will make all your release deadlines and be ready on your end :hihi:

Thanks for all your work on a great new product, I can't wait!

For those who are audio-jamming in Jamstix, here is another update that fixes the following:
  • velocity tracking in MIDI and AUDIO mode is now seamless (old version updated only on beats)
  • increased audio smoothing range by factor 4
  • fixed sometimes 'frozen' velocity tracker when audio input goes to zero

We will update the official downloads in a few days.

Hey MickGael, did you get a chance to try out the latest demo 0.99M with the Pentium denorm fixes? Did that fix the spikes for you?
Hi Zauni,
Seems to be working fine, and just keeps getting better :)

Look also at Jammer Pro: http://www.soundtrek.com/content/module ... page&pid=9
With Jammer you cannot only compose infinite different drum styles but also all other instruments, like bass, lead instruments, accompaniment, ....

Sorry Andreas, you can not compare Jammer to JS or Oberheim/Drummer.
Really not...

Midiworks, you´re totally right concerning Audio (because Jammer is no audio application). But midi wise there is no better and more realistic sounding program than Jammer Pro (if it is used in the right way!).

For all those who are using the Jamstix demo in Cubase, here's an important fix for some GUI problems that can lead to access violations and invalid pointer errors:

We will update the official downloads in a few hours

Thanks!

I messed the link up because I was so darn tired. The correct URL is:

Still major problems in SX...:(
Access violations

SX must handle transport on start up.

Just to let everyone know, I swapped some E-mail with Midiworks and he hasn't had another access violation in Cubase, yet. However, I can produce an AV if I load Cubase, load Jamstix in the VST tray but DO NOT load a project and then close Cubase.

This is a very unlikely way of using Jamstix in Cubase so it's not a big deal (we'll still work on fixing it though)

As far as the transport issue that Midiworks mentioned is concerned, he had the 'Stop After Load' option checked in the OUTPUT tab of Jamstix, which will cause Jamstix not to play when it is loaded.
