Hi,

I just wanted to ask a few things:

I was busy in my ableton live session, had a nice synth going on with fat basses and just added a drumloop, no 2 loops for fun. It sounded damn fat, real good! So I thought 'well would be a shame to just rip it without programming these beats myself!'

So for the first time in my life (well almost), i just thought 'what the heck let me try recycle and program the beats in reasons redrum.

I never did things like that, usually I have my beats in reason made by using my sample library, i rarely take loops and chop em up.

But I did chop the loops and went programming. So what you ask...what happens? All the fatness seems gone! I never realised reason did this, but what really happened anyway? Does Reason recompress it to take away the dynamics of a beat? I really have no clue. So I have these questions:

1. Is it really illigal taking a full drumloop, or is it so commonly that i can do so without risk?
2. How does that count if you chop it up and reprogram it?
3. If you do that, is there a way how I can keep the fat and dynamic range of the beat in reason?
4. wether it is yes or no, is reason really the best for beats or is there a good plugin to alter my drums ?

thanks in advance,
Neko.
