..installed collection of plugins?
Out of curiosity I did a search of '*.dll' on my VST floder.. it came back with 148.. which considering I only use about 20-25 of them regularly suggests I have some harvesting to do...
How you the rest of you, what sort of ratio can you boast? I'm not talking about d/led zips, I mean actually sitting in the folder ready to go.

I don't use most of them either, but that's largely due to expired demos, and the fact that many of these DLL's are either duplicates (because I'm at best semi-organized) or FX versions of VSTis. About a dozen of the rest are development tests (JUCE, VSTSDK, Synthedit, etc.).
Really, I use at least one version of most of the things in my Vstplugins folder right now.

...but I don't think these will all be vsts, probably lots of shared libraries in there somewhere (that's my story and I'm stickin' to it)

24 exactly + what comes native with LIve 4.1 oh yeah and soon to be updated Reason 3.0 from 2.5 
- more than enough thats for sure and I was looking at pruning it down a bit more actually

(That said Pluggo for Windows looks pretty tempting).
Lets face it when I had hardware I didn't have 15 synths and over 10 odd effects units to mess with.

Regularly using almost exclusively BUZZ´s machines *g*, but it's much fun to have a large pool of things i can test and play around with. Very often i am loading a vst plugin, then i am trying to do something similar with buzz plugins and then i delete the vst from the project. Last finished song ? Eh ... don't ask !

I'm learning, and alot of my stuff is demo.
2 presets of the the same instrument together,and I have 15 min. of bliss.Even the "big" company's are very generous.
As are the majority of this forum.Although, I suppose you have to know, that I am a little bit wicked,and I wonder if the 'Firtst Deadly Sin' isn't Tying your self up before you Masterbate.
