word, Cold C. You have a great site and do an excellent service to the VST community. Thanks, man!

Has anyone used this in FL 5 yet? I'd like to know how to set up routing for this to an instrument if someone can explain it when they have a chance..

Post

Here's a quick way in FL:
1. Load up Diner
Load up the synth you want the midi to drive, say Synth1.

2. In the upperleft corner of the synth's display (Synth1), click the drop down arrow and select "Show midi in".

3. In the green numberdisplay box in the topright of the synth pane labled "port"(Synth1) window, set it to a channel #1

4.Do the same for diner, but select "show midi out"
set midi out to same channel as the "midi in" in the synth(Synth1) you want to drive.
'voila.

I'm currently listening to it pushing Mr. Ray 73 -it's like my own personal lounge singer
Damn xoxos, you don't think straight! I like much, thanks :D

------EDIT-----------
synth pane is the actual box displaying the synth gui, not the channel settings box.

MIDI port is on synth gui.
It is dif. from the FX channel which is on the channel settings box. And not green.

hmm, not sure why it's not working. On the diner plug itself, the channels are all set to #1, so maybe try all midi in and midi out on channel #1, as well.

Oh, and diner should be loaded as an instrument, not an fx in this config.

yeah, but the whole point is to use it without eXT.

How do I do a screnn capture in xp?

wait a sec, do you have the registered version? If so, then you have to enable multi-outs, and sync up the diner channels on the gui to the midi in channels of the synths you want to drive. Sorry if I'm being redundant, but midi stuff has taken me a while to work out.

works with eXT, but why not without it?
