Alphaville and Silent Running. I really like the look of these movies and try watching them intently. But that constant 'Da-da-DUM!' of Alphaville and Judy Collins or Joan Baez folky warbling all over Silent Running as robots water trees just pisses me off!
Good flicks with HORRID soundtracks...

The Third Man. The trademark theme is of course brilliant, but gets on your (well, my) nerves when it sounds every 2-3 minutes in a 3-hour movie. Oh, and I know this is considered blasphemic by many around here, but the Wendy Carlos / Beethoven collaboration for A Clockwork Orange always gives me a headache.

Oh yea, I have the one that tops all others:
Fright Night
The single worst soundtrack to ever grace the silver screen, although the film wasn't half bad.
Second greatest Good-Film-To-Bad-Soundtrack ratio: Scarface

Pi
Fantastic movie and the blurb on the box says "Music by Aphex Twin"
An hour and 1/2 of a square wave with a tiny bit of filter widdeling
I also enjoyed HellBoy (knew nothing about it before the movie) but even the FX sounds were weak IMO. A tiny bit more dosh on the soundtrack and Fx and they wold have had a Spiderman smash on their hands!!! Like the first Resident Evil movie dont like the soundtrack as a CD but in the context of the movie it rocked!!!
Cheers,
Dave

yeah! I had forgotten the soundtrack was abysmal, got the DVD on ebay and failed to get 1/2 way through before turning it off.Steven West wrote:...Joan Baez folky warbling all over Silent Running...
Warbling is too kind a description, screeching is far closer to the truth.
Steve.
I know I have got a negative edge, that’s why I sharpen all the others a lot.

the matrix 2, the worst part (music) was during the neo fighting the 200 "agents" and the really cheesy "to be continued" music at the end
