I've got to say the http//www.Soundfonts.it Mr Ray Rhodes and the other free key emu VSTis there sound really good to me but using the Effectizer 1.1 free VST (which is the effects section from Mr Ray reduced to a VST effect) with my guitar seems to be pretty surprisingly rich sounding as a Fender style amp sim plus wah, trem, chorus, delay and reverb. I'm also going to try the new "MrMcDonald" Leslie emu with my guitar asap. Guido, are you the one I should thank?
EDIT
I left out that Effectizer has a pretty cool overdrive.
Sleeper free VST guitar amp sim

Hi Guido,
MrDonald is really excellent.
Is it possible to have a seperate acceleration and decelaration speed adjustment? It would be cool to emulate a motor brake when slowing down...
