oops..did I make a poopie in the Reason thread?

:dog:

Reason's a great device. It works great for some, but not for others. It has features some exploit to the fullest, it's lacking features that will never win it certain users.

What else is there to be said about it aside from more ascertation of the Id?

f**k guys..go make some tracks already..

:P

"Ah f**k it, Dude..Let's go Bowling.."

In the current issue of Sound on Sound (March 2005) there's a really interesting interview with Milo. As most of you will know, Milo produced his acclaimed Destroy Rock & Roll album using Reason 2.5, Rebirth and ReCycle. Also he has done remixes for Elton John (Are You Ready for Love), Moby (forthcoming single, unnamed) and Kylie Minogue (I Believe In You) using Propellerhead's software.

It makes me laugh when people imply that Reason is incapable of "professional" results, or carp about its sound quality. Perhaps they should contact these living legends and share their concerns  .

Other interesting Mylo quotes from the interview:

"I got an Emu sample CD which I went through and chose drum sounds from and then I put them into ReCycle and chopped them up. Then, when I got Reason 2.5, I put them in there and put a bit of distortion or compression on them... The reverb and distortion units in there are really professional-class, they're great."

"Now with my new laptop I've got no plug-ins".

CHeck oujt the whole interview in SOS - it's really refreshing to hear an internationally acclaimed artist/producer who uses very little gear, and works just using the same stuff that many of us here use 8)

I know people that makes music with just one synth and a drumkit.
