I don't get it.

Apparently I've broken some sort of rule of compression here, using a limiter instead of a traditional compressor. Now that you're both mocking me ( ;) ), at least enlighten me so that I can fix any errors I'm making in my technique.

When people said, "Blockfish", *I* was thinking, "REALLY?" because I find it colours a vocal too much. Different strokes, I guess.

of course you can although personally I'd avoid using the W1 for vocals but especially the TLS maximizer can do wonders on some vocal tracks... (but I tend to use it aditionally to some moderate compression...)

Breaking rules? I use T-RackS on my vocals! The whole mastering suite, on a single track! :hihi:

As as coloured as Blockfish is, I promise you that T-RackS makes it sound like glass.

Dammit, that still doesn't answer why you were mocking me!! :x :x :x

TLs and W1 behave fairly similarly... W1 is exceptionally transparent, so I just don't understand why that would be a bad choice. <chuckle>

I'm glad at least we all agree that there is no "wrong" way of doing it, because for a second I was getting worried about you guys!
