I must admit that when I hear or see the word synthesiser, the image that comes to my mind is of my KORG Mono/Poly. It was a thing of rare beauty. In the modern era my vote would go to Alesis for the Ion - its just dead-sexy.

Hmmmm. I would go for the Jupiter-8 and the Prophet-600 (very sexy).
... Moog System-55 is also great but I don't have one
Of the modern ones, the Indigo is very cool.

There are just so many great looking and sounding old synths. The Arp 2500 is my favorite.

My faves would have to be
Prophet 5 - Sounded as good as it looked, mmmmm wood
OBXa - Loved that black interface
Polymoog - Looked fantastic, sounded like shit
PPG Wave 2.2 - I fell in love with that shape and blue instrument panel

I second that. I'm so sorry that I've sold mine.

i recently sold my casio cz101, but it wasn't a real loss in term of beauty - exactly like the matrix-6.galwaypark wrote:BONES wrote:I must admit that when I hear or see the word synthesiser, the image that comes to my mind is of my KORG Mono/Poly. It was a thing of rare beauty.
