Hi Tick,

When I close MiniHost (after having loaded Digital Synth 1 Bank) it does not reload when I load Rhino again. The other banks reload to the one last used by default - but not Digital Synth 1.

Additionally, when I do load it, in MiniHost it loads patch number 58 (Silver Age) and not preset 1. Very tedious having to constantly go manually to preset 1

These banks load to preset 1:
  • Additive Keys
    Ambient Pads
    Analog I Polysynth
    Morpheous
    Factory Bank 2
    Factory Bank 1
    Tim Conrardy 2
    Tim Conrardy 3
Load to arbitrary patches by default:
  • Analog II Monosynths (defaults to 63 - Random Modular)
    BnB2 (defaults to 63 - Hipass Sweep)
Bread n Butter (defaults to 43 - Tine Chime)
Classic Moog 1 ((defaults to 58 - Whistle)
    Classic Moog 2 (defaults to 21 - Strings 1)
Cassic Oberheim 1 (defaults to 56 - Autum)
Classic Oberheim 2 (defaults to 63 - Layer Upon Layer 3)
Classic Oberheim 3 (defaults to 63 - Glass Houses)
    Electroloops ((defaults to 50 - GlasPipes1)
Teksonik (defaults to 58 - Frog Bass)
Textures (defaults to 63 - Random Lyke)
Tim Conrardy 1 (defaults to 32 - Harmontec)
Tim Conrardy 4 (defaults to 57 - Nenya)
Is this a bug, or is there something else that explains why various banks seem to load to arbitrary presets?

Thanks!

Which version of MiniHost? Latest is 1.62

The last selected preset is saved along with the banks. So if you load it, go to preset 1, and save the bank, it'll go to preset 1 the next time you load it.
Everything works great under Minihost, though. As db suggested, check the version you're using.

I'm using the latest version of MiniHost...

well, as I said, save the bank when preset 1 is selected and it'll remember it.

Thanks, 'Tick - that did the trick! :)

ok I must be confused ... I'm in the vsti running it inside chainer host... this is the updated new 2.03 version...

so now in the Library, I make a new catagory... wanting to stick some of the TBX81 items in there...

the new catagory gets named ((new catagory)) and will not let me rename it to something more discriptive, like i.e., "TBX81 sysex stuff"

I can import one of the sysex patches ok, I can drag it to the new catagory, but then I also can't rename that to anything... the option is grayed out...

this is confusing... any suggestions Tick?

You'll have to rename it while you're on the top level - not when you're inside the category.

thanks Tick... actually, I tried that before and it would not let me do it... but I've found that upon exiting and then re-loading Rhino2 it will allow the renaming... thanks for the tip.
