I have an old Octapad PAD-8 which i started using again for triggering my drumsamples and it works great, but i am sorely missing a kick drum trigger and would like to know if anyone can shed some light on which triggers i can use.
Does the Roland KD-7 work with the Octapad? Is there any cheaper and simpler alternative that i can get?
Any Octapad experts around?

I bought one once and it multi-triggered, had to get a new chip for the external jacks.
But then you can rig a practice pad with a piezo mic and it will work.

vtx, did you own a KD-7 or an octapad or maybe both? I need know if the KD-7 will work properly with the Octapad before i buy one.
