this bass drum or timpani sound ?
I find this sound is always used in many Hollywood movie score , can anyone here tell me what is this drum? bass drum or timpani ? and how to make this effect ? it sounds so strong and powerful.

Probably timpanis layered with orchestral bass drum (not a kick drum!).
