vocals are a live acapella from acapellas4u.co.uk - they are a bit rough sounding unfortunately...
Glad you like it synthpopkid - hope it goes down a storm on the dancefloor!
I'll check out your erasure thread too isdjan

I was a student in Nottingham - long time ago now. Are you familiar with cybernetic broadcasting - I think you'd like it!

Yeah I've downloaded a lot of the mixes from CB! I'm a total Italo freak and hence bow down at the feet of I-f, Mr Clavio, Alden Tyrell etc
Shame you're not in Notts now. The night's really fun and really busy.
I'm sure this Mode mix is gonna go down a storm on Friday next to a Tiga's "Pleasure From The Bass".
All KVRers obviously welcome to come along. It's FREE entry too. With Machines playing live.

Welcome to the synth world!Mystahr wrote:Very much enjoy this
There is however one instrument on which I can't seem to put my finger that seems to have too sharp and punchy an attack and almost sounds like a little click. Then again maybe it is something else causing this; like I said I can't put my finger on it really
Funnily I have been given the same comments on my music from time to time. We hear you - we just don't care!

Great mix - deeply impressed!
I agree with a previous poster that the first 1 min 15 s should be shortened quite a bit. As a DM fan (since 1982!) I have trouble with the verses. I came to think of the phrase "I'm waiting for the [mix to come to the passage] when everything is bearable
and at 2 min 54 s that moment came! If I were you I'd cut out everything before that and make a longer version of the last minutes. As in many mixes, the verses are rather painful to listen to, as they must be dealt with in some way by the mixing bloke.
All in all - you light up my day (which is a bit strange considering the lyrics of the song)

Upon re-listening. I must say I forgot to mention that I enjoyed the passage 1 min 50 s to 2 min 20 s as well. (In case you wondered:)).

thanks sparky - glad you liked it so much. It was just a bit of fun really, not something I take seriously otherwise I might have been more discerning about the intro etc

I heard there was a remix album out last autumn. I haven't bought it but heard and liked the Enjoy the Silence remix. Otherwise my favourites are Are people people?, the Never let me down again remix and the Files on the windscreen Death mix.
If you weren't serious when you made it, I think it's about time you get serious now! (SparkySpark smells potential here...)

Ehrm - that should read "Flies on the windscreen", not files... I guess I spend too much time coding nowadays (and to less time making music)!

there's a great remix of world in my eyes by the alpha conspiracy - he has a website at alphaconspiracy.com - you might be able to find it on the net. His music is fab too (all done in Buzz I believe) and also the production work he does with "Iris"
I'm not sure I'd ever take a remix that seriously. I prefer to save my concentration and effort for my own original music

talking about dm remixes - i am happy owner of the remix collection...my two favs so far: "question of lust" because it is so pure and transparent, great for analysing and reconstruction
- and "halo", goldfrapp mix. something like dm meets james bond soundtrack...
