still no answer to this very reasonable ( I think) suggestion? :?

hm, perhaps there is somekind of virus that eats other EQ's in this installer, really doesn't sound very warm or smooth...more like harsh as a spoonfull of spikes.

Why not? :)
Gimme a break, man..What's the point in having an installer for a single file? I mean how lazy do you think people really are? Especially with these horror stories about ppl having their VST folders deleted when uninstalling a single plug..

No thanks. Why not use a self extracting zip or something instead of an .exe so ppl can at least extract manually if they wanted? I hate installers, especially when they aren't necessary..Komplete, yeah, gimma an installer. Single .dll? That's just cultivating apathy and asking for trouble..

Gotta agree with Sicklecell666 here. I'd like to try this, especially as it's free (thank you :D ) but not if it uses a installer. A zipped .dll is preferable.

I'll put the dll to a website (maybe implement it into our site), as i get to my computer. I'll post it here.

Edit: i may not do it. The disclaimer is required for every installation of this software. Sorry.

It's maybe free of charge, but not some kind of open source project. To use it, you have to agree with the terms of use. It's written in the disclaimer file. This is the main reason of the installer.

Whatever. I think, you have too much time to think about things. If we would like to destroy your computer, we would not try to sell VST plugins... How many applications do you try out weekly? Why does it matter if it's a single dll file, or a single exe? I still don't get the point. If it would be a self extracting archive, then maybe you would ask for a zip or rar file. :) If it would be a zip or rar file, then maybe for the pure dll only. :)

Funny.

I agree 100%. I especially enjoy seeing a developer insult a potential customer for their commercial products in an open forum over so . Enjoy your brilliant but brief Career Suicide, Einstein.

There is more to an installer than just technically putting a file into the VST directory. Of course it is not necessary because people may be lazy and cannot copy a single file. It is necessary because the user must read the license agreement and we want the contact info to be installed on the computer, too.

This is a software product. Published by a company that is responsible for it. It is free, but there are legal issues that has to be read carefully and agreed. The installer takes care of this things.

The only things you have to do is to read the agreement, push the next buttons to get the product for free. Is this really so bad?

That could be incorporated into your website as a condition for recieving the download link.

I was very impressed with this plug-in; thanks for providing it for free, it proves to me that you guys care about taking the time to create smooth filters. Love the synth too, it could give a composer a real edge with it's unique design. Keep up the good work!

Fair enough, but there's a lot of freeware out there that doesn't impose this on the end user. There's been instances recently of badly implemented installers/uninstallers with free software that have caused major grief. I assume it's intended as a taster for your other products :?: A simple zipped .dll is the way to go imo.

Even easier :)

Yes and no. I think it is very...umm....can't think of a word....solid (?)...it's not transparent....but i think with careful tuning of the parameters it would definitely be able to add alot of character to a mix.

Nicely done.

Thanx WWAYM.

peace!
