I got one of their albums called 'Rings Around The World' today and I was stunned by their inventiveness and the beauty of the music. It was quite a shock because I had never bothered with them in the past - I had them filed alongside some underperforming britpop acts but it really was a pleasant surprise. Anyone else who likes them? Recommendations for other albums by this band?

Yeah I'll probably do that since they're really cheap these days [about 7euros each - obviously nobody buys them in Greece].

We're good, aren't we? =^_^= And the ones in the band you're talking about are even better.
Recommendations? Well, you've got enough choices. :-) Maybe try one of their older releases? Dunno, it really depends what you like about 'em. I've heard bits and pieces of their music but don't have any whole CDs. Yet. But now that you've mentioned it... heh.

P.S.: SFA in Greece, eh? :-D Trying to imagine "Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyndrobwllantysilio-gogogochynygofod (inspace)" rendered into Greek lettering is a mind-bending experience.

my favorite is 'mwng' ,entirely in welsh and i don't understand any of it - it's just incredibly haunting.
any of their albums will do though, they're all gems.
regards

yeah, they're a great band. fabbo! i remember the album 'Radiator' being the soundtrack to a 13hour painting stint i did in highschool.. started when i got in from school and finished just in time to do my paper round. that album was on loop the whole time!
weird experience afterwards tho.. never been so sleep deprived- i kept reaching into my paper bag to get the paper for the next house and then waking up in a bush. happened like every few minutes and confused the hell out of me!

Kick, punch, it's all in the mind.

Phantom power!!!
(sounds pretty much like the rings around the world...)
Yeah, they were a revelation to me too, after ignoring them for like five years. Phenomenal band.
