Kruzweil's been mentioned, but I would personally prefer Yamaha or Roland for durability. Also, didn't Kurzweil recently undergo some sort of drastic company financial restructuring? Do they still even exist? It might not be a good time to invest in an expensive Kurzweil product.

Have you given any serious consideration to using VSTi instruments live? A performance-oriented host like Forte Ensemble could be very handy for that sort of thing.

Comes to a lot less than £2000. Why bother with anything else?

nocompromise kind of has the right idea, though. Some kind of master keyboard for you; after all, you're a piano tuner. Do you really want a soggy synth action on everything? I'd try out some of the newer E-pianos out there- they're getting pretty cheap, and they sound passable in a club setting. For your soggy synth action, dig the Polaris out of the closet- those still sound pretty cool. If you look around, you can probably pick up a good used or discontinued laptop for pretty cheap- use your second Komplete authorization on that.

glad I have a week or so to figure this stuff out..I do have my clavinova keyboard, but I wouldn't mind spending to get a piano grade master keyboard. I still have my emu-piano module, and a korg m3r..polaris and dx7 have died. I would love to try using the laptop and going that route, but having my old stuff nearby..for emergencies.
