Outside of the UAD-1 (I know, I know, but I can't put a DSP card in my computer), what, in your opinion, has the best plate reverb? Do they make it for OSX? If plate is too general for you, I like particularly one that has a lot of sizzle - I know, out of style, but I likes what I likes.

Wedgewood.
An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

Besides the EMT 140, I have gotten some good sizzly sounds with Roomverb M2. Look for IRs also, I think the Lexicon 960 and Kurzwiel KSP-8 have the best sounding plates.

Actually, what are even some good plugins with plates? The only things I've used as plates that I can remember are either impulses or the reverb in Sound Forge.
Any non-convolution ones?

The only ones I've found are PSP Easyverb, Roomverb M2, & actualy Ozone's Mastering Reverb. Of the three, PSP's sound's the best by far (although Roomverb has it beat for, well, rooms). Anyone know of any others in VST land....shamann wrote:Actually, what are even some good plugins with plates? Just noticed Anwida Soft's Spazio has a "plate" algorithm. Alas, it is not available for OSX - anyone tried this? Their VST pack (limiter, compressor, EQ's) are really really invisible, with nearly ZERO CPU hit, and their free DX Reverb Light is by far the best FREE reverb available for OSX, IMHO. Anyone give me the scoop on Spazio?
