I don't know about the people here, but I've experimented with magic mushrooms, and I really enjoy them. Coupled with this, a new sense of nostalgia has crept into my life. Bands and music I never used to really pay much heed to, they now seem so much more potent, its as if the shrooms have given me some insight into why these things are good.

Maybe its my age, I don't know, but I never used to like the Beatles, or the Doors, or even the Pogues, but now I do. Another title worthy of mention is the song Pink Elephants On Parade from the Disney film Dumbo.

Its such an excellent piece of music, really captures a certain hallucinagenic quality for me, and takes me back to my youth, to the days of sitting round my aunts house with the entire family watching disney films.

Then there is Strawberry Fields by the Beatles. Another excellent piece of music that really captures my ears.

As for images, well I'm sure you've all seen that Jimi Hendrix poster:

There is but one true king of Psychedelic songs, and it is the Pink Floyd's Interstellar Overdrive. Try to get ahold of the 17 minute "Tonite Let's Make Love In London" version, if you can, although the Halloween 1966 Thomson Private Recordings demo is a real kick, too.

on acid/shrooms (not that i've done them much . . sadly!) i would prefer to listen to my kinda music or ponder the universe, rather than the sorta cliche 'psychadelic' images etc
