Absynth 3 as effect?

Anyone use AB3 as an effect in Cubase SX3? The manual doesn't say much about how to do it. I was told to add the AB3 effect to an audio track then add a midi track to trigger the effect...is that right? I'm doing that but get no sound.

Yeah, that's what you do. Make sure one of the oscils is set to audio in, and that you have a held note or something on the MIDI track to trigger the envelopes.
