I've been looking at the World Traveler disk. The list of sounds seems mighty tastey to me. This is one of the areas of my sound library I would love to fill out a bit. This set says it runs in Akai format, and I'm wondering if this will run well in Sampletank?

Anyone have this set?

Are there any plans for a World Capsule, or Expansion tank of World Sounds?

Will there be a World section in the ST 2.1 sound upgrade?

Is there some secret vault of World sounds that your going to release??

Post

Actually, the title works pretty well imported into ST2. But, we are working on some kind of World Capsule type thing. I can't reveal anything yet though. However, I CAN tell you that the downloadable esoundz archive is going to be expanded to cover every type of instrument imaginable and while we will be supporting a large list of formats coming, the first one to be there in mass quantity will be SampleTank 2.

I haven't bought any Akai format stuff. Wondering how they work. Can you install them on your hard drive and they just appear to be operationally the same as a Sampletank format sound? or do you need to have the disk in the drive to use them? Dumb question, probably,,, lol, but,,,,,

I'd love to see a World Capsule, or even two... I was listening to the Reason Refill world demo, and it sounds sweet. Are the sounds on the World Traveler disk the same sort of thing?

I'm looking forward to the download area. I'm worried though, that I'll spend too much time there, and not getting my work done!!

I need some world instruments, too.

Ooo! I hereby request Hardart, Catatonia, and Lasso d'Amore.

I don;t want to PP on squids thread, as the world traveler collection is something I would have loved to have. For some interesting free soundfonts you can look at RAW as well. very interesting stuff.

PS. it is GS format, so you need a reader like Vsampler.

If you check in only once a day, you'll still have to wade through 300-400 new posts :). It's better to split that task over several smaller pieces by checking in a few times each day. :D

Thanks Sepheritoh, I have V Sampler too. I'm gonna give them a try. Hey Squids, how about a group buy for World Traveler and the American Heartland sets? Just a thought.
