Been playing with the latest beta (2 new EQ units captured and they sound very different but both fantastic!). It'll be very much worth the wait. Heck, I'm getting terribly annoyed at the constant beeping in some of my projects where I have several hydratones inserted so I'm definately first in queue to buy my license!

Cheers!

I'll believe the hype when I finally get my filthy mitts on it. Better than the Pultec Pro? Send it in already.

I'm wondering how it compares to this:

which uses a similar technique but more open in that it can import IR's from any EQ (not just what it has built in).

Some of the Neve and GM presets alone almost justify putting up with the price and pace............,well,...almost.Where's this Hydra Tone thing anway?(foot tapping......)

I hope the god you're joking. I hope you do realise these presets will have little or nothing to do with their analog counterparts.

Anyone who actually bought this surely deserved to be ripped off.

I just want to demo this thing. All these Mac users can't be wrong. :hihi:

It's hard to believe the Hydratone can compare with the Pultec or any of the Voxengo or Sonalksis EQ's.

But I hear nothing but praise for the thing. I dunno if it's the Lemming Effect (people are indeed like sheep and few have their own opinions)... but honestly, Kingston is the only person in existance who isn't spewing chowder over it.

With the group buy it's roughly 50 UK pounds to own both Hydratone and Valvetone.

Qclone is in the vicinity of 450 UK pounds.

Alot of peeps using the Tritones completely dig them. Some peeps using the Waves find it to be usefull.

Insane...
