If it's only for testing, I think there are no legal issues as long as you keep your test strictly private.
"DRY" ... hmm, at least you have to accept a little room reverb. An orchestra needs some space
That said, take a Deutsche Grammophon CD and be happy.

computer music (I think) had snippets of orchestral sounds for their sampler (I think untreated) one of the sounds was like all the orchestral members tuning up etc
