Every summer Minneapolis has a traditional summer event called Aquatennial. Smashing Pumpkins, Cracker and somebody else I can't remember did a gig outside in the middle of downtown for it one year- there was somewhere around a half-million people as an estimated crowd; the people watching was much better than the show
