You might be right, but often those requirments are basically just for support. In other words, the manufacturer doesn't really want people calling tech support with such old, slow computers. It usually doesn't mean the product won't work at all - seriously I don't see how a lack of RAM or cpu speed could affect detection of a pcmcia card.freeztar wrote: Well, I checked the linksys box and it had 64MB listed as a requirement. I think bringing a laptop *looks* impressive to the client, but I don't see it as 100% necessary. In fact, this ethernet problem is the only one I've seen where a laptop would be a huge help.
