Oh... this can have two reasons:gareth_fx wrote:Hi URS,
Grabbed the Beta's I get an empty blank white plug in box appear but no controls.
This is with an ageing Logic 5.5.1 on pc.

Either you use something like Win95/98/ME (then I'm not sure if this can be fixed, but I'm gonna check out some stuff to make it compatible) or the uhe_data folder doesn't sit next to the .dll files...
If it isn't any of these, please send me an email with all details possible and I'll forward stuff to the beta team for some tests...

Yes Urs, please continue to breathe at least long enough to deliver Z2 and MFM2.Urs wrote:Now let me first breath... pleeeeeeeeeze

I scanned these pages quickly and there was a lot of praise, but not much detail. $89 intro price is certainly a bargain. I don't need another synth though. I'm mostly interested in the EQ. How does it compare to say eg. Gliss EQ? I'll try and go through that other thread for comparisons of the filter.
They sure look superb though

Can't say much about other EQs.
Well, Gliss looks pretty much like a high end thing for mastering and stuff, easy to use, A/Bing etc.
FilterscapeQ6 is aimed at another purpose. It can do dynamic stuff (great on drumloops, but also good for other things, i.e. de-essing) and it has that snapshot thingy. So, it's more on the colouration/modulation side. Dunno if it's any good for mastering or mixes. I havn't got much experience with that...
Well, just try the demo
Cheers,
Urs

Hello Urs
After trying the demo of filterscape and using the snapshot morph function synced to the host looping back and forward over a bassline, i was sold. So I just placed me order and am awaiting the codes.
One thing, If you could make Zebra 2 morph like the eq, but then all parameters, you could make a revolutionairy dynamic timbre monster. Then it would not only sound wicked, but it would also be the ultimate in tool for evolving textures, may it be pad like or rythmic. By automating 1 parameter you could glide from one world to boundarie of the universe

Just back from the pub and send out a couple of codes, hope your's are among them!
Actually, Zebra has those 4 XY-controls. These are - if I may dare so - snapshot morphers, but in 8 dimensions rather than 2. Or so. Each axis can control 8 parameters independently in positive and negative direction. That provides for pretty qjewl evolving-intermodulating-organoambience. It's not easy to set up, but there's a spiffy auto-setup feature that analyses the current settings to apply some meaningful turbulations. Different concept than the Filterscapades, but not bad at all for the stuff.
(and who knows what else will enter Z2...)
Cheers,
