hi kriminal,
congrats on your success. very cool. i have your plug and i like it. well deserved recognition. :)

not to go off-topic, but i also happened to give a listen to your Led Kriminal song over on the Manytone site. I'm a huge LedZep fan and Bonham is my absolute all-time fav drummer, so i couldn't resist.

I enjoyed it very much. It's really cool to hear that particular opening and as the song gets going to hear that classic bonham break/roll underneath. big smile on my face as i listened on headphones. :D

Could you share what settings/presets you used on the Manytone? In particular, the bass?

one last thing: i feel compelled to let you know that the mp3 has bonham's name mis-spelled (the n and h are reversed) and, out of respect for da man, you should probably post a corrected version. :-o :hihi:

continued success!

They are certainly representative of my fondness for the more electronically-driven industrial of the Eighties. More Puppy and Portion Control, Cabs, that sorta thing. Some of the loops are pretty unusual. No cock-rock industrial anywhere to be seen.
Whilst I wouldn't trust CM to know industrial from choral, I will certainly trust your judgement, sir.

Umm where Cabaret Voltaitre considered industrial ........... runs for cover  ....
Man they where one of my favourite artists in my teens along .
Gotta say though the Cab's f**king rocked and Richard H.Kirk has an amazing opus of work released since their demise ....
Hmmm what would my teen years have been like without Severed Heads , Cabaret Voltaire and early era Yello ?
Going of on a tangent - Whatever happened to This Mortal Coil and Jesus and Mary Chain ?

Oh, the Cabs could be quite industrial...Red Mecca aint no pop album. Neither was early Severed Heads (or for that matter, much of the later Severed Heads...Ellard always threw out something utterly crazed, just when you thought he was getting accessible).

And that is just the point I was making. In those days, industrial wasn't about angry guitars and teen angst. "Hamburger Lady" fit nicely on the same album as "Hot on the Heels of Love". The very first release on Industrial Records was the Chris Carter cassette "The Space Between", which was full of peroclating rhythms, gentle sequences and lots and lots of DIY. Easily more accessible than some of the Cabs' stuff...and easily my favorite era of the genre.
