Difference audio engine Cubase SE

hi altogether,

i know about the drawbacks in cubase SE now from this comparison chart.

but could anybody tell me what audio-engine Cubase SE has? is it the SX1 engine or an even "worse" engine?
how could the possibly "worse" engine affect my productions?
can anybody tell me the difference between the SE audio engine and the SX1/SX2-engine (that the SX3 engine is much better is clear to me)?
