Thanks for all the answers. You guys are quick! This thread had been dead for the last week so I expected to have to wait a while.

There is one that comes with MidiPipe's example scripts called Aleatorics Script (written for me) it will filter out the fretted notes so you can play it like a regular guitar. enjoy.
With that news, and the hope that folks more knowledgeable than myself will continue writing scripts for the Mac, I think that I'll go ahead and order one. I could swear that I found a place that was selling them for $149 the other day but I can't find it now.

If I like this a lot I might eventually graduate to one of the Starr Labs controllers for live performance.

Any progress on that website?

Hey....things I've read here and elsewhere have
convinced me I need an EZ. I agonized over the
choice between AG and EG but, for several reasons
choose the EG. I've ordered one from AMS BestBuy
thru E-Bay:

Can't wait to get my mits on it and to try it with
the scripts you guys have been writing. In the meantime I've been creating environments in
Chainer and Bidule for live and studio use.
Glad to be in the club!

Cheers......CL

Glad to have you! :)

Bidule would be an awesome combination for it! 8)

Mine arrived ...
Pretty Sweet!!
What a great tool for Midi recording. I can't wait to get it going proper. The Strum reaction is not Bad at all.
The neck .... well you guys said it was weak .... That is an understatement .... It is like Rubber ... Funny the way it twists even .... I keep thinking the Sound will waver with the bend ...LOL.
This is going to be so great for playing ManyStations Guitars and Instruments. Thanks for the Programs Guys!!
Anybody beat on the strings hard yet?
Do they take it?

See what it needs to get a velocity over 120 (without remapping), I'm suprised it's still a 6 strings ;)

"Bidule would be an awesome combination for it!"

Yes, I think it will. I've had some success with
it using a real guitar into various pitch2midi
plugs like Jaltoh's Ultram and NuTon Musiciendos.
Of course that was all monophonic!

"The neck .... well you guys said it was weak .... That is an understatement .... It is like Rubber ... Funny the way it twists even."

I've had some thoughts along those lines. I'm
going to contact some guitar builder buds and
see if we can't design some sort of re-inforcement
system. I imagine if it was easy to install,
relatively inexpensive, and looked cool, then
most EZ owners would want such a thing. Yamaha
is really missing the boat on this one!

Are you talking about the AG or the EG ?
I find that the neck of the AG isn't to bad, never tried an EZ though ..

The neck on my AG is El cheapo Bendy twisty Plastic Crap really.
Yours doesn't twist on its own?
Not only Bend a bit but actually it Twists if you grab it and put a light bit of Pressure on it.

Even though the Body is Plastic ... it has some strength to it... But the neck ...ouch!

Yes I did.
I don't think you can break them easily but they do bend and twist out of shape so when you look at them the gaps between them is not the same. (I exchanged it once already)

So don't beat on them just adjust the midi levels in the program.

That thing almost doesn't move, maybe a little when playing ‘heavy’ chords on the lowest frets, but not something that bother's me.
Do you also have that reinforcement plate in the back ?

You say you had to exchange the string part once already ... what do you mean ... What exactly did you do?

mbncp...
Yes i have the plate there.... But if i twist the neck ...it really twists ... Nothing is Broke ...It is just the way it is Built.
