Just watched the video of Garageband 2 from NAMM on sonicstate.com. I'm a PC user so I was just watching it out of interest. I saw that it has these two new features - timing and pitch correction, which is used by adjusting a slider for each track. Seems pretty cool - obviously I can do the pitch correction stuff using auto-tune or some other clone, but is there any VST plugin that can correct the timing of a sloppy bass/dum track when recorded as audio - so basically a quantize for audio as opposed to MIDI. Does this exist?
I know it can be done in separate apps like Beat Quantizer or Recycle, but is there a simple VST plugin that could tighten up the timing of an audio recording a la Garageband?
