I need some more demo songs for the new website and I'm not nearly enough of a guitarist to do it (at least not like Andrew and Markleford).
I'd like to get some 20-60 sec demos of:
Playing some piano and organ sounds (lead and chords)
String sounds
Synth sounds (lead and chords)
Bass sounds (with Trilogy might be nice)
Acoustic Guitar picking and strums (Sampletank???)
Electric Guitar (useless, I know, but some will be interested and it's fun to do)
Using the pitch bend and foot controllers
Fret=tapping
....and anything else you can think of (some screen shots of your script settings might be helpful, too). Post links here or PM me.

I think my recent lack of time is fairly well documented
, but after my traffic court on Thursday and a film score due next Friday, I should be free to do something new!

Anyway, if my traffic knowledge can come in handy (I teach Driver's Education), let me know.

Well I am not a good guitar player at all, but I will look into this.
You can pick anything from my web site (see my signature link at the bottom)
I also have this guitar thing tapped but it's not that good

I'm actually regretting getting an EZ now, not because of the EZ itself, but because of my inability to play it well
If you have requests for Korg VST features or changes, they are listening at https://support.korguser.net/hc/en-us/requests/new

Hey braj, you just got the thing.braj wrote:I'm actually regretting getting an EZ now, not because of the EZ itself, but because of my inability to play it well
Give it some time, it will grow on you.
You should do a lot of tweaking in the script and create presets that will help you with different plugs.
I have at least one preset for every plug I use.
Pay attention to velocity curves and the fret up/down reaction.
And the best part, unlike a real guitar, you can go back and fix the mistakes in the piano roll.
I don't know how is your piano playing skills but I can sure do better on the EZ then on a keyboard so that's a big plus for me.

Yes, it's really worth practicing and tweaking.
I just got Pure Guitars (acoustic) from Yellow Tools (imported the giga format into halion) and this is just amazing. I use the foot pedal to switch articulation (normal, hard, harmonics,..) and velocity (for pulls or what ever you call them) and I can do stuff I wasn't able to play on a real guitar (like playing harmonics on any fret).
Also, my bass playing, using Trilogy, is getting better. Still not as comfortable as on a real one, but I have a bunch of great sounding basses I could never afford otherwise. Also, I can do a few tricks that would be impossible on a real one. Btw, on the Pure Guitars DVD, there is also a very nice acoustic bass.
My only problem right now is the differences in velocity of the different strings. With these libraries, playing a loud velocity will trigger the pulls samples, so I need to play with the input/output velo range, but it's a bit difficult as not all strings respond the same way.
So I might add some global setting to 'correct' individuals string velocities.
Anyway, I will be travelling for about 1-3 month (with the pc, ez, keyboard, camera,..,wife), now I don't know if this means more time for scripting or not (check the weather forecast in south europe
).
