What is everyone's favorite plug-in effect for processing incoming audio into absolute wierdness?
So far my favs are:
Cyclotron
Reception
The Modulator 2 is great, but it is a bit buggy.
Any plugs you would recommend?

KTGranulator can change anything you feed into it into pretty much anything you want. It's much, much more versatile than it first appears if you take the time to experiment with lots of subtle and not so subtle settings.
Frequency mashing plugs with more than one input (e.g., Spectrumworx) rock my world too.
Anyway, it's all about creative routing of plug-in chains. Try Audiomulch out. It's routing capabilities are second to none.

buffer override: http://destroyfx.smartelectronix.com/

combinng these together or with other things with imaginitive midi control routings in eXT is what makes my world go round.

Metal Mickey, the most overrated plugin ever.
I would recommend Crazy Ivan used with a bit of subtlety to f**k up a sound. and any good convolution reverb with a decent set of impulses
Ring Modulators are quite capable in the right hand.

Don't get me wrong here - Making f**ked up audio is my specialty - but in times of laziness I look for a single VST that will fix.
usually I throw on evolving ring mods, chorus, reverb, LoFi machines, distortion, etc. One of my favorite things to do is vocode women screaming or cats meowing with a f**ked sound coming out of A good synth like Morpheus or Invader and good stuff like that.

Lucifer comes to my mind.... wonder whyusually I throw on evolving ring mods, chorus, reverb, LoFi machines, distortion, etc.
I'm a bit partial to the microspread knob.. course its my latest addition
I have a free VST coming next week you might like! I've spent the last two weeks on it, it's getting mental

Oddball IRs and a convolution engine are my poison of choice.

Oooh, where to start?
- Izotope Trash
- Buffer Synth 2
- Buffer Override (matter of fact all dfx effects are top for this)
- e-phonic Retro Delay
- CoFX Tape Delay
- Kristal Audio Engine's Kristal Reverb when set to a square (pulse) LFO that controls the "freeze" parameter.
- Scuzzphut 6
- D-Pole
- Mashup
There are many others, but these are my go-tos

All of arcDev's stuff is great.
Oli Larkin's DroneBox comes to mind.
Debaser free(concreteFX)
mda detune & mda stereo(and basically everything else mda, great for signal chaining in eXT..)
suppatrigga(sp?)
RetroDelay, KT Granulator, all the Psychic Modulation fx, these are all free..
If you're gonna spend any money, get Reaktor Sessions, as the bulk of fx have tempo syncing options, which you would probably need for what you do..
