DS404 - Installed plug-in but no sound

Hope someone can help me :/
I've followed all the instructions provided by CM mag (DS404 / CM101 / SR202 - Musys), but some how cannot get plug-ins to play.... Surely sounds can be manipulated via these plug-ins, otherwise why would they be there eh??? read the manual & spent hours browsing for help but no joy... Anyone know a good URL/tread address to jump to with step-by-step instructions???

Have you loaded wave files (samples) into them? Sorry if this seems like a dumb question, but I'm not sure how familiar you are with VST music making.

Such a general question is pretty difficult to answer as there as so many things that it could be.

When Computer Muzys fires up for the first time it asks you to choose a soundcard and setup your MIDI interface. Straight after, it launches into the demo tune - did you hear the music at that point?

After that, you need to create a new project, load an SR202 or DS404 into the Synth Rack and direct your MIDI input at it (hint, look for the MIDI player icon near the transport). Then, bring up the plugins editor and read the supplied manual about how to load patches into it.
