We are very pleased to release version 1.1 of our harmonically-enhanced equalizer in PC VST plug-in format--HarmoniEQ.

This version features a range of improvements: the standard Voxengo 'Quality' switch has been added; overall sound has been changed a bit to provide a better sonic performance; linear-phase mode implemented which affects internal oversampling only (this does not affect the filters).

The most valuable addition to HarmoniEQ is the 'Sound' mode switch. You can now switch between the Normal, Soft and Phasy sound modes. The 'Normal' mode selects the original sound. The 'Soft' mode is a combination of the original 'Normal' sound mode but with a slightly softer overall feel. And finally, the 'Phasy' mode is the most interesting sound mode of the three available. This 'Phasy' mode imparts a heavy phase shifting which creates a classic 'in your face' equalizing sound.

Several new presets have been added, too. We suggest you to check out the 'Vintage EQ' preset which uses all features HarmoniEQ has to offer.

Voxengo HarmoniEQ features:

* 4 bell-shaped filter bands
* Low-shelf filter band
* 2 high-shelf filter bands
* Three different EQ sound modes
* Special Boost mode
* Special Woofer mode
* "A-to-B" comparisons
* Factory presets
* Mono-to-Stereo, Stereo-to-Stereo processing
* Any sample rate is supported
* Internal 64-bit processing
* Native assembler DSP code

HarmoniEQ is available on-line for USD 99.95. For more information and downloads you can visit the Voxengo web site: http://www.voxengo.com

Cool, this new "phasy" (shoudln't that be "phasey"?) mode sounds very good. I tried it on some bass and drums and so far it sounds the best out of the three modes. Phasy + Boost + Woofer + HQ = :)

:) Voxengo = we, it is not a personal name. ;)

I am experiencing extremely high CPU usage with this latest version. It looks like between 20-30% of my P4 2.2Ghz. Has anything else changed in this version that could be causing this? I should be able to load more than 4 of these right?

First of all, try using 'Normal' quality setting, with the 'Boost' mode disabled (the 'Woofer' mode does not change CPU use). 'Phasy' mode is extermely CPU-intensive in the 'Boost' mode as it performs a lot of additional operations.

The 'Phasy' sound mode in the 'Normal' quality takes only 5% of CPU. Of course it's not as creamy as High quality coupled with the Boost mode, but it is still usable.
