In April 2005 Electronic Musician magazine, Len Sasso reviews the Wusikstation and gives it 4 out of 5 which is very good.
The good news for Les Productions Zvon is that our Prepared Rhodes (also available in other formats) is mentionned in the review:
"...three large commercial banks - Dopetwistas, Prepared Rhodes, and The Second Wave - deserve special mention.
Prepared Rhodes ($29.95) applies the prepared-piano techniques developped by John Cage to a Rhodes electric piano. There are two primary multisampled SoundSets, one covering 72 keys and the other covering 52. Each note has a different mechanical preparation and was recorded for its full duration at several Velocities. These make exceptional semituned percussion instruments. For more conventional playing, 19 presets are provided that map a single sound across the keyboard."
Theres also a Web Clip, here's the text introducing it:
"Three instances of Wusikstation were used to make this clip. Sounds from The Second Wave, Dopetwistas, and Prepared Rhodes SoundSets were used along with MIDI grooves from Dopetwistas."
And here's the link to the page where it is:

seriously though, that's great about the magazine notice....Electronic Musician is one of the few US magazines that I really like....and they've got a decent reader-base....Nice work getting a nod from them.
peace!

It would still be great if you could put a EXS or MachFive or Kontakt format in there. I don't even know that those formats are that it comes in. I'm loading into MachFive with the soundfont because that's the only one that will load.

Funny that you're asking this now because I have been thinking for a while of making changes to the Prepare Rhodes. I have a Kontakt 3 version that is almost ready and may be available for this Xmas.
Also some formats may be dropped, mainly the EVE 2 and Wusikstation formats even though they both have great presets made respectively by, besisdes myself, Tim Conrardy and ToTc.
I am also toying with the idea of making a "chromatic" Prepared Rhodes using the same techniques and concept that I used for my Chromatic Hits set. I have in fact began to work slowly on it.
I am not familiar with MachFive but isn't it possible that once you have loaded the soundfont in it, to save it in the MachFive format?

Yes, I should be able to save it, but I'm still trying to figure that out.
I'm a little ignorant in this area. Does the soundfont have the same quality audio files?

Yes it does, all the formats have the same samples. The difference is that some of the formats (WS, EVE 2, GS3) have additional presets/programs that make use of features specific to these apps, like filters, envelopes, FX.bongo_x wrote:Does the soundfont have the same quality audio files?
