Hey dudes, I'm need to buy some books on recording. Although I'm a long time musician, and know quite a bit about certain aspects of recording, I would still consider myself a beginner.
So I'm looking for a book about EQ, Mixing, Recording techniques, etc.. Something probably from the beginner to moderate skill levels.
Any suggestions?

The Mixing Engineer's Handbook by Bobby Owsinski (i think that's his last name) is pretty good. lots of good tips on EQ. there's also a Mastering Engineer's Handbook, by Bob Ludwig (i think...pretty sure that's who wrote it). i've got the mixing handbook, really find it helpful. will likely pick up the mastering handbook at some point.

There is also "Mixing with your mind" (Michael Paul Stavrou) - very interesting.

With the above mentioned books (especially the one from Bob Katz) you get to know things from different perspectives. At the end the most challenging part is to train yourself and make it work for your recordings.
