who is jens, what does he work for? i don't pay attention to the high-end products, so i seem to have missed out on the significance.
trying to understand his interest here..

From what I have seen on here, he is into high value software not high end really, seems very enthusiastic about the things he likes, can come across as thoughtless when doing this. Can also be overly cheeky. Dont think he's nasty though.

i don't mind cheek, but after continually "misunderstanding" (beats me) steam in first thread, he made repeated "this is useless/doesn't work properly" statements..
if you don't understand something, do you post to forums saying "this doesn't work and is useless"
the way he words it it's like "gee clueless, good idea but if i ask you if you've got any spangles in your pocket and you say you're not sure then imo you're a worthless piece of shit who i saw killing my mother and cutting up little hamsters and regularly enjoying intercourse with famous dead grandmothers and if you use this vsti it will destroy your pc" but it's okay cos i put the imo in there.
it don't come across as "some user tryin to use it," it comes across as someone tryin gto put as many "this doesn't work" posts in a thread as possible.

I don't think it's personal, just an overeager need to have the dominant opinion. Yours wasn't the only to undergo such responses, but I'm guessing you knew that.
But haven't you heard, imo absolves you of the need to ever have be careful again.

now i too have met jens and found him to be an entirely pleasant and agreeable - if bald - guy
(although the kid-eating thing takes a little getting over)
however ... i agree ... IMHO he can sometimes come across in text as a little overbearing and aggressive when defending stuff he agrees with or attacking stuff he doesnt (bearing in mind that despite the im sure excellent german education system english isnt his first language) ... and could sometimes do with cooling down a little or considering more carefully the 'tone' he types with ... indeed - ive banged forum heads with him more than once recently ...
