It's a Les Paul through a Vox AC-15 mic'd with a Shure SM57. Vibrato on full except in the mid section.

Thanks for listening. :)

oops, the clean gtr in the verse is the same gtr but through my 73 Fender Twin Reverb.

hmm....I was talking about the verse. I like the guitar it just sounded thin. I use a fender twin as well and i love the tone of this amp.

hmm.... ....maybe it could be louder?

anyway, again...good track.

 possibly could be a bit fatter. I'm remixing it tomorrow night, I'll see what happens.
Thanks again.

It'll stay clean with a chorus on it, but I may roll some high end off and see what happens...

Ouuf, sorry if if I rip it to bits...but...New Order; 2nd kings of pop and this is goth :-o

Actualy I quite enjoyed it in it's own wee way. for what it it is, you have achived your objective; faux Bernard Sumner vocals with bad goth pop.

Why not do some top geetar/sinthesiser pop a la 2005 vintage though? I reckon you might have it in you,

Cut out the cancer.

 urmmmm, thanks.....I think? or not?...

So if my objective was to suck at ripping something off I've acheived it? hahaha...there was never any attempt to sound like anything particular, especially goth. It's just what the song came out sounding like. I guess cuz it's all in c minor?
This singer would laugh pretty hard if I told him that someone said he sounded like Sumner. He's way more of an Ian Curtis fan, and even more so Warsaw...

Hhee, well he sounds more like Barney trying to ape Ian Curtis..the chorus bits are by far the best bits of the song; the bits where he tries to ape Ian Curtis
sound cheesy as f**k. Leave that to Interpol! :hihi:

would that be the quieter part of the verse or the "shot down" part where the verse kinda kicks it?

appreciate the listen and the criticism...

Well, generally, where the vocal is isolated on it's own it sounds, pardon my french, a bit forced, and slightly cheesy (but don't mind me....). Wheras when it's doubled/chorused, it sounds ok.

cool donks, appreciate the feedback. There's not a place where it's not doubled, so you're making me realize that I may not have the doubles loud enough in some parts. Anyhoo, someone way more of a professional sound person than me is remixing it tomorrow with the intention of making the vocals sound more like an album. I'm pretty novice at mixing, but I thought I had a pretty good basis, so I went ahead and posted it.

Cheers

I would add some subtle depth with a true stereo spring reverb on the the guitar (could emulate this with some plugs or a Fostex 3180 would work nice :D), especially the ambiance parts.

the HH's are to clean IMO and I roll the highs on the snare a bit.

Listen to "Body Electric" & "Adrenochrome" from the Sisters and you will get my drift.

Over all, I like! Keep it up.

Add my vote for This Corrosion! :P
